You might want to look around for an open source guestbook that doesn't use a DB that you could integrate with the gallery. I don't currently plan to add a feature like this.

I would like to implement a guestbook without database, but that uses a .Txt file to store messages, comment on individual photos.
I would like to insert a button at the bottom right, where there are buttons to select the layout.
Thanks

How exactly would you want it implemented, as there is no database needed for the gallery. Are you wanting a database that would run the guestbook or how would you want it to work?

If you like I do.

If your photos are named 1.jpg -10.jpg I'd recommend doing 01.jpg- 10.jpg or if you plan on having more than 100 (which I wouldn't recommend) you'd want to name your image files 001.jpg - 010.jpg. This would keep them in the correct numerical order.

You could name your pictures like 1a, 1b, 1c, and it would sort them in alphabetical order. That means you could have any number of combinations from 1aaaaaaa to 1zzzzzzz to 9aaaaaaa to 9zzzzzzz. That should do you for all the images you need to use in the gallery :)

I thought I saw a post about photo orders and now I can't locate it. My photos are numbered and when it gets to 10 it puts it next to 1. How else can I order them so they stay in numerical order? Or some other order that would work.

You'll have to edit the Meta Data/IPTC info in Adobe Bridge, it's actually written into the jpg itself, then ftp the image again.

Thank you,

Can I edit the descriptions in the file or do I need to resave the descriptions in Adobe Bridge?

Thanks again for the great tool!!

In your product descriptions you've got some illegal characters
()
and
/
I think this may be what is causing your errors. It must have been when you added this to the descriptions.

I've been configuring a gallery for a customer (http://www.hicks-ashby.com/gallery2/) and it just recently quit displaying full-size photos. Thinking I might have broke something, I uploaded a fresh copy of the gallery and re-uploaded all my photos, but I still am unable to view the full-size versions.

Another note... I have added description text to the photos through Adobe Bridge CS2.

Any thoughts?

TIA... ~Mat
