Embedding gallery into a basic HTML/CSS page

I just purchased Gallery Pro and have followed all the tutorials/documentation and I believe I have everything set up the way I want. However, I am having difficulties trying to embed this into my existing site format, which is just a basic CSS-driven HTML site (no PHP). I read the already posted Wordpress thread and found it not to be applicable to my situation (i.e. there were steps that involved alteration to pre-existing files that I do not have, like 'header.php').

I will be the first to admit that I know next to nothing about PHP and have little experience with it.

So, what would be the best way to insert the gallery?

First thing, the page you you paste the gallery into does need to be a php page, it cannot be a .html page unless you've set up your server to execute .html extension via php so that the php that is executed runs.

If you open the index.php file in the gallery there are plenty of comments in there to help with the process of embedding the gallery to another page.

Find: 

Copy everything from  to  and paste that in your page between the <head></head> tags of your new file.

Find  and copy from  to  and paste that on your new page in between <body></body> where you want the gallery to display.

Great, that did the trick, thanks!

I have one more question. I am wanting to change the path to Gallery Pro to a different name, example:

from: http://www.xxxxxxxx.com/e2gallerypro
to: http://www.xxxxxxxx.com/photos

I figured there must be a setting in the config files for this, but I cannot find it. If I simply rename the 'e2gallerypro' directory to 'photos', it doesn't load properly.

You'll need to change the image paths in the XML file to look in /photos/ instead of /e2gallerypro/, plus look in the index file for any references to /e2gallerypro/ folder and modify accordingly.
