This typically shows up if you don't have the PHP GD Library installed, but usually happens on a windows machine.

interesting, I run PHP on my site I host on OLM and godaddy and the godaddy works fine...

When you got this error, was it on the OLM? Is that on a Linux or Windows box running PHP? Typically it's something to do with the GD library( http://us2.php.net/gd for more info). I'm not a server expert so I have limited knowledge on the subject.
