Hello,

First of all, I would like to say thank you so much for this gallery. It's clean, efficient, and downright beautiful. I have uploaded, implemented, and everything works perfectly except for one small bug.

I have a website with three separate galleries on three separate pages. The first time each page is loaded, the gallery functions perfectly and loads quickly. However, if I return to a page after going to another, the large image in the gallery stays stuck on loading. The thumbnails still load quickly and, if clicked, will load the picture immediately.

The contact page does not have this issue, even though it calls to all the same functions as my other two pages. A side note, if I let enough time elapse (5 minutes or so) before returning to a page, I don't have this problem. It's also worth noting, I have not altered the gallery outside of some basic style changes.

Could this be a possible caching issue? Or maybe a function call that does not DIE? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've resolved this issue in the new version of the photogallery which I plan to release real soon. You can look through the forums to see if anyone else has found a solution with your current predicament.

Thank you for the response. It isn't a big issue. I just wanted to see if there was an easy fix.

I have run into another problem, however. I moved my entire website from a test server to a live environment. I have four separate galleries and the config file. I changed $gallerypath and $thumbpath to reflect the changes on all of them. The images appear to be loading correctly into the tempgallery, and, if i follow the image path, the image is there. Yet all my images and thumbnails appear as broken links.

Everything was working perfectly in the test environment. I made sure to upload all the files to the new environment and retain the directory structure. But it still won't display. I have the live (and broken) example here: http://www.persnicketyformalwear.com

Again, I really appreciate your help and input.

Okay, I found the issue. $gallerypath and $thumbpath are defined relative to the index file. My index file lies on the root of my server, making $gallerypath=../html/images/webimages and $thumbpath=../html/images/thumbnails.

getfirstimage(); and getthumbnailimages(); both rely on this path to generate the path to my images. Thus creating http://www.persnicketyformalwear.com/html/images/.. Obviously not correct.

I tried changing my path to ../images/webimages but it is rejected by the is_dir(); function. I'm not sure how to declare a valid path from the root. So right now I'm using PHP's substr(); function to cut the 'html' out of $gallerypath and $thumbpath. It seems like a complex solution, please let me know if there is an easier way.

The best thing to do is a relative path. if the folder html is your root path and your index.php file is on the root and your images are in a folder in /html/images/webimages on the root your gallerypath needs to just be $gallerypath="images/webimages";
